The Eliyahyu family has 4 children, ranging from 1 to 11 years of age. The two younger children (ages 1 and 3) suffer from serious illnesses, and are undergoing serious medical procedures. The father works as a constructor out-of-town, and their financial situation is very bad. The mother was fired from her job and the father’s salary is insufficient and cannot support them all. Since they cannot afford to own a house, they live in a rented apartment and pay $450 a month, but they had been receiving eviction notices, since they even cannot pay the rent. The small children left their kindergarden since their parents cannot afford it. The family is very close to starvation and there is no money to pay for diapers for the baby or even decent food for all of the children (The Municipal Welfare Authorities are aquainted with the case).
